Sunnyside Communities is committed to continuing care which means changing health care needs will be met in one place for life. Should your health needs change, continuing care means you never have to say good-bye to home and friends.
Who owns Sunnyside Communities?
Sunnyside Communities owns and operates three not-for-profit, faith-based, Life Plan Communities – all located in Virginia. The corporate offices are located in Harrisonburg.
What activities are available to residents?
If it’s a packed social calendar you want, then Sunnyside Communities is the right place for you. Planned daily activities give you every opportunity to be as busy as you desire. Bus trips, outings, ballroom dancing, cooking classes, educational seminars, wine-tastings, special celebrations, apple butter making, movie nights, games, book clubs, concerts, and religious services are just a few of the activities residents enjoy. Our creative staff is always open to adding new and exciting recreational, cultural, educational, spiritual and social opportunities for its residents.
What are the health and wellness programs at Sunnyside Communities?
Sunnyside Communities offers a wide variety of award-winning health and wellness programs. Whether the programs are fitness classes, special workshops or community events, we focus on whole-person wellness – physical, spiritual, social, vocational, emotional, environmental and intellectual. Are pets allowed?

Can I bring my own furnishings and décor for my new home?
Simply put, make your living space your own. We encourage all residents to bring with them the comforts of home and to decorate with their own individual and distinctive style.
