Sunnyside Assisted Living residents proudly showcased their creativity and talents at this year’s Rockingham County Fair, bringing home five ribbons across a variety of categories.
The group submitted seven entries and was recognized with the following awards:
- Blue Ribbon – Banana Bread
- Blue Ribbon – Coffee Cake
- Red Ribbon – Fall Table Decoration
- Blue Ribbon – Felting
- White Ribbon – Christmas Ornaments
Residents who participated included Karen Alley, Jean Wattlington, Marilyn Tuttle, Sue Meny, Betty Smith, Beverly Doll, Barbara Boothe, and Ruth Williams.
The fair experience sparked excitement for future entries, with residents already brainstorming new ideas for next year’s competition. From baked goods to handmade crafts and seasonal décor, the event was both a learning opportunity and a celebration of the many gifts within the Sunnyside community.
