An anonymous donor has made a meaningful contribution to the Employee Emergency Relief Fund at Summit Square in Waynesboro, choosing to celebrate the dedication and heart of the community’s staff by recognizing them with personal notes of appreciation.
The donation, made in honor of Summit Square’s “stars,” highlights the extraordinary efforts of employees across all departments. From transport and dining services to wellness and administration, every area of Summit Square was praised for the essential role they play in keeping the community thriving.
Among those recognized were individuals like “Bit” Pressley, who brings both professionalism and kindness to his transport work while also lending a hand as a fill-in receptionist and theater group member, and Judy Obaugh, the community’s hairstylist, who helps residents look and feel their best with her patience and good humor.
Couples and teams were also honored, including Linda Revis and Skip Warren, whose creativity supports non-independent residents, and Amanda Argenbright and Shelly Zollner, who manage enrollment while balancing countless other responsibilities. David Wolfe, the community chaplain, was celebrated for his spiritual guidance, described as “impossible to adequately describe.”
Entire departments received recognition as well. Clinical staff, administrative staff, reception, activities, wellness, therapy, dining, housekeeping, and maintenance teams were praised for their tireless commitment. Each note emphasized the behind-the-scenes efforts—whether delivering packages, cleaning, preparing meals, or planning events—that ensure residents are cared for and supported every day.
Executive Director Matt Dameron was also included, with a nod to his ability to manage the demands of leadership with professionalism, humor, and grace.
The heartfelt donation and accompanying words of thanks serve as a reminder of the dedication, teamwork, and compassion that define Summit Square. As the donor’s message concluded:
