Recently, that spirit shone brightly when resident Judy Aitcheson attended a milestone family celebration that, thanks to the dedication of the Summit Square team, became a cherished memory for years to come.
Judy’s son, Steve Aitcheson, shared a note of heartfelt gratitude following the event:
“Yesterday, Mom’s youngest grandson, Nathan, was married to MEgan Burton at East View Farms. She had been looking forward to this day for over a year, and thanks to the extraordinary efforts of your staff, she was able not only to attend, but to fully enjoy the celebration. It was an unforgettable day for her and for our whole family.”
To make that dream a reality, the Summit Square team went above and beyond in every way. Wendy Scarbrough, Bit Presley, Anna Manikus, Sara Johnson, and Maddie Loan worked together to ensure no detail was overlooked. They coordinated directly with the wedding venue to ensure accessibility and restroom accommodations, arranged for grab bars to be installed, and organized transportation so Judy could travel safely and comfortably. They even trained Steve’s wife Leslie to provide backup assistance and stayed by Judy’s side throughout the entire event — ensuring everything went seamlessly, even when plans changed unexpectedly.
After the wedding, Bit even sent a personal text message to the family that perfectly captured the joy of the day:
“Miss Judy is home safe. She had a blast. When I left her, she was still grinning ear to ear.”
For Judy and her family, this was more than just attending a wedding — it was a moment of love, laughter, and togetherness they will treasure forever.
