Personalized Memory Care Support
As a long-standing partner with the Alzheimer’s Association, Summit Square offers memory care to residents with Alzheimer’s as well as other types of dementia. Opened in 2019, The Cottages at Summit Square, a 17-bed memory support center, is designed to provide a supportive environment that encourages and promotes independence while preserving quality of life for residents living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
The nearly 21,000 sq. ft. center includes spacious residences with individualized features including “wayfinding” elements to help residents identify with their rooms, such as unique colors, enhanced lighting and doors and fronts that look like the exterior of a home. Other areas include:
- Resident-focused dining
- Recreational and leisure activities
- Spaces for working both independently and cooperatively
- 2,200 sq. ft. secure outdoor living for gardening and other activities
Quality, customized programming is vital to keeping residents with Alzheimer’s and related dementias engaged and active. The Cottages at Summit Square enhances independence and quality of life by creating a supportive and adaptive environment in which each individual can succeed.
Our highly trained multidisciplinary staff actively seek and create opportunities for residents to act independently, exercise choice, move about with freedom and engage in activities of interest.
