King’s Grant hosted a local Walk to End Alzheimer’s on the campus for the firs time September 9. More than 40 people were in attendance and they raised over $400. Participants included residents, families, staff and community members. King’s Grant strives to be a support system for all that is affected by this disease and offers a variety of activities on a daily basis to keep residents’ minds and bodies active. We are also proud of our Dietrich Multi-Sensory rooms which offers soothing sounds with coordinating colors and that can be matched with the resident. There are also moving water bubble towers which are used in various ways for the individual resident.
