Sunnyside Communities, a full-service and well-regarded not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), with corporate offices in Harrisonburg, VA, is currently recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Vice President of Employee Relations. This individual will provide direction, management and leadership for human resources at the corporate office as well as Sunnyside’s three communities located in Harrisonburg, Martinsville, and Waynesboro, Virginia.

 

The Vice President of Employee Relations will be a relationship-oriented leader and manager with at least five (5) years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a CCRC, hospital, or other similar environment within the health care industry. A Bachelor’s Degree in human resources management or related field is required and SPHR certification is preferred.

 

This position will plan, assign and direct all aspects of the human resources department including policies and procedures, wage and benefit administration, recruitment selection, employee relations, payroll, training, workers compensation, safety, supervision of staff and other special projects.

 

The Vice President of Employee Relations, reports directly to the President & CEO. Expectations include demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of human resources and a high level of performance, while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be expected to build on the strong reputation of Sunnyside Communities and continuously deliver exceptional customer service.
