DEPARTMENT: Assisted Living
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The primary responsibilities of the Assisted Living Director are to lead, plan, direct and coordinate all functions of the Assisted Living unit to include, but not limited to, staffing and supervision as well as coordinating and participating in the delivery of care for all AL residents. Ensure regulatory compliance, resident and employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervising and nursing experience; preferably in long-term care
  • Current LPN/RN license through Virginia Board of Nursing preferred
  • Assisted Living Administrator and/or Nursing Home Administrator license prefered
  • UAI/ISP certifications preferred or ability to obtain
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to read and comprehend all types of written materials, strong phone etiquette and ability to speak with appropriate grammar
  • Good time management; ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and having good organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and exercise flexibility, initiative, problem-solving, critical thinking, good judgment and discretion
  • CPR certified or ability to obtain
  • Ability  to work with confidential information and maintain its’ integrity
  • Operates personal computer, printer, copy machines and other general office equipment
  • Strong customer service skills; maintain a hospitality approach when engaging all individuals
SHIFT/HOURS: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and available 24 hours a day to handle questions/emergencies
